What is Monke Mod Manager?
Monke Mod Manager (sometimes searched as "monkey mod manager") is a desktop app for managing Gorilla Tag mods. It handles the modding tasks players repeat most: finding mods, installing them, uninstalling them, installing from disk, editing configs, opening useful folders, disabling mods when needed, and launching Gorilla Tag from the manager on Steam.
Gorilla Tag modding gets confusing when every mod has its own download page, dependency requirements, config files, install location and update pattern. Instead of treating modding as a file-management chore, Monke Mod Manager turns it into a visible, button-based workflow: browse what is available, install it, manage it, and undo it without guessing where every file belongs.
It is built for one game and one job - making Gorilla Tag mod installation and maintenance easier - so it stays simple enough for everyday players while still helping experienced modders move faster.
Who Monke Mod Manager is for
Want mods installed fast
Skip the GitHub releases, Discord links and ZIP files. Browse the list, click Install, and the mod lands in the right BepInEx folder.
Need to see what is installed
Every mod shows a clear installed or not-installed status, so you always know what is on your Gorilla Tag setup at a glance.
Switch between modded and vanilla
Disable mods before a vanilla session, then enable them again later - without deleting and rebuilding your whole setup.

Install, reinstall, uninstall and disable mods in seconds. Ideal for trying new Gorilla Tag mods without messing up your folders.
Set mods up for friends
Helping a friend or younger sibling mod Gorilla Tag becomes a repeatable, button-based process instead of manual file copying.

Main features
One-click mod installation
Browse available Gorilla Tag mods and install them straight from the manager. Each mod card shows name, version, author, group, status and source.
Install from disk
Already downloaded a mod? Use Install from Disk to drop a local DLL into the correct BepInEx plugins structure for you.
Clean uninstall & reinstall
Remove tracked mods cleanly or reinstall them in one click, instead of digging through plugin directories by hand.
Enable or disable mods
Return to vanilla Gorilla Tag without deleting anything. Disable mods from the manager, then enable them again when you want.
Built-in config editor
Open and edit BepInEx config files from inside the app. Checkboxes, dropdowns and text fields - no hunting for .cfg files.
Automatic BepInEx setup
If BepInEx is missing from your Gorilla Tag folder, Monke Mod Manager installs the required files and configuration for you.
Dependency handling
Some mods need other mods or libraries. Dependency-aware installation helps make sure a mod gets the supporting files it needs.
Live mod list & search
The catalog pulls from an external Gorilla Tag mod list, so it stays current. Search by name, author or category and sort the list fast.
Launch from the manager
Launch the Steam version of Gorilla Tag straight from Monke Mod Manager, and open the game or plugins folder in a click.
How to install Monke Mod Manager
